Men's Track and Field Excellence Fund

California State University, Bakersfield Men’s track and field had notable success last season led by thrower Thomas Richardson’s second place finish in the shot-put during the Big West Conference meet. Support for the program will help build to bigger successes in the coming season as coaches and student-athletes work to reach their personal bests and the NCAA podium. 

Funding Priorities 

1. Facility Enhancements: Support for track and field facilities will help athletes improve their performance and help CSUB renovate competition spaces so meets can be held here on athlete’s home turf.  

2. Coaching Staff: Additional funding would help bring on coaching staff that can specialize in events and give track and field athletes the development they need to succeed.  

3.  Travel Budget: Support for a travel budget for the team will allow CSUB track and field coaches to put their athletes up against the best competition around and help them break records notch victories.
